In these Terms, Academy means Fennormon Journalism Academy. Services include courses, mentoring, events, and digital materials. You refers to the individual or entity using the Services. Content means all materials provided by the Academy or uploaded by you.

2. Acceptance of Terms Critical

By accessing or using the Services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Services.

3. Eligibility and Accounts Unchanged

You must be at least the age of majority in your province or territory of residence in Canada to create an account. You are responsible for safeguarding credentials and for all activities under your account.

4. Courses and Content Use Updated 2025-02-10

Course access is licensed, not sold. You may use Content for personal, non-commercial learning. Redistribution, recording, or public display of course materials without written consent is prohibited.

5. Payments and Refunds Critical

Fees are quoted in CAD and are due at purchase. Unless otherwise stated, taxes are additional. For self-paced courses, you may request a refund within 7 days if less than 20% of content was consumed. Live cohorts are refundable until 72 hours before the first session. Transaction costs may be deducted where applicable.

6. Code of Conduct Critical

You agree to maintain professional conduct, avoid harassment, discrimination, plagiarism, or misuse of platforms. Violations may lead to removal without refund as permitted by law.

7. Intellectual Property Unchanged

The Academy and its licensors retain all rights, title, and interest in the Services and Content. Trademarks, logos, and service marks are property of their respective owners.

8. Privacy and Data Updated 2025-01-18

We collect and process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable Canadian privacy laws. You consent to processing to deliver, secure, and improve the Services.

9. Communications Unchanged

By creating an account, you may receive transactional emails. You can opt out of marketing messages at any time. Operational notifications are essential and cannot be opted out.

10. Third-Party Tools Unchanged

We may integrate third-party platforms, such as video conferencing or payment processors. Use of such tools is subject to their terms, and we are not responsible for their actions.

11. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability Critical

Services are provided as-is and as-available. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Academy disclaims all warranties and is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the Services.

12. Termination Unchanged

We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or for security reasons. You may stop using Services at any time. Sections intended to survive termination will continue in effect.

13. Governing Law and Venue Updated 2025-03-01

These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada and the province of British Columbia, without regard to conflict of laws principles. You consent to exclusive jurisdiction and venue in British Columbia courts.

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in law or Services. Material changes will be notified via email or within the Services. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
