We offer a two-year Journalism Diploma, a one-year Broadcast Certificate, and a four-month Investigative Reporting specialization. Program portfolios include newsroom simulations and real-world assignments with Canadian outlets.
Q2 Are courses online, hybrid, or fully on campus?
Most core courses are hybrid (60% on campus in Vancouver, 40% online). We also run a fully online stream with live sessions scheduled for Pacific Time and recorded replays.
Q3 How much is tuition and what currency do you charge?
Tuition is billed in CAD. Approximate annual tuition: Diploma CAD 12,800; Broadcast Certificate CAD 7,900; Specialization CAD 3,200. Fees may vary by cohort and lab usage.
Q4 Do you offer scholarships or bursaries?
Yes. Entrance scholarships (CAD 1,000–3,000) are awarded based on portfolio strength. Bursaries are available for demonstrated financial need. Application deadlines align with admission rounds.
Q5 What are the admission requirements?
You’ll provide transcripts, a resume, a short personal statement, and 2–3 writing samples. English proficiency for non-native speakers: IELTS 6.5 overall or equivalent.

Major intakes begin in September and January. We accept rolling applications until cohorts are full; early submissions are encouraged to secure lab seats.

Our practicum office places students with Canadian media partners for 8–12 weeks. You’ll receive editorial mentorship and produce publishable stories with bylines.
Q8 What equipment or software do I need?
A laptop (8GB+ RAM), headphones, and a USB microphone are recommended. On-campus gear cages provide cameras and field recorders. Students receive Adobe Creative Cloud access.
